The Dover Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Inc. will host a health fair from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 21 in the Martin Luther King Jr. Student Center at Delaware State University, 1200 N. Dupont Highway, Dover.
More than 30 community health care consultants and agencies will participate to provide free health screenings and share health information. The free screenings include blood pressure checks and HIV tests.
Representatives from Public Health, Hospice Services, Veterans Health Services and the WIC Program will participate. Agencies will discuss autoimmune diseases, mental health, sexual assault, injury care and drug and alcohol addiction with a focus on heroin. Highmark BlueCross BlueShield will host a health insurance Q&A session.
Light refreshments and prizes will be provided.
