Sháe Ross, a junior at Delaware State University, recently won second place in the Oral Interpretation of Prose category at the National Association of Dramatic and Speech Arts national competition held at Dillard University in New Orleans.

Ross, a criminal justice major from Cherry Hill, New Jersey, won the second-place prize

by performing an excerpt of Chris Wind’s “Snow White Gets Her Say.”

Originally selected to represent DSU as an alternative, a scheduling conflict preventing DSU’s primary contestant from competing and gave Ross the opportunity to take the competitive stage.

In addition to representing the DSU Theatre Program, Ross also represented the Alpha Phi Omega Theatre Honor Society.
