Del-One President CEO Dion Williams and his team cut the ribbon Feb. 8 on the doors of its newest branch, located inside Caesar Rodney High School, Camden.

Caesar Rodney High School students and staff can now do their banking on-site during lunch hours. Located in the Rider Café, students can open checking and savings accounts, make deposits and withdrawals, staff can make payments on car loans, etc.

Under Del-One supervision, CRHS business and marketing students earn credit by working in the bank as tellers. The branch was the brainchild of Del-One director of innovation Horacio Garcia-Korosec, a 2007 CRHS grad. He met with CRHS principal Sherry Kijowski last year and the two them conceived the in-school branch concept.

During the ribbon cutting, Caesar Rodney School District Superintendent Kevin Fitzgerald spoke of the opportunities the branch has given CRHS students to begin to learn about fiscal responsibility.
