Bayhealth will host the inaugural Bayhealth Nurse on the Run 5K Walk/Run to benefit nursing education at 10 a.m. March 24 at the Wild Quail Country Club, 1 Clubhouse Drive, Camden-Wyoming.

This fundraiser is part of Bayhealth’s participation in the American Nurses Association 2017 Year of the Healthy Nurse Challenge, which encourages nurses to be the healthiest versions of themselves.

“This event is twofold as we’re encouraging a healthy lifestyle, but we’re also raising money for professional development at Bayhealth,” said Nurse Manager Stephanie McClellan. “The money raised from this 5K will help our nurses hone their skills as caregivers, which will ultimately improve the care we provide patients and the health of the community.”

Partnering with nursing on the event is the Bayhealth Foundation, which has a history of contributing to nursing programs.

While aimed at nurses, the 5K is open to everyone and is kid-friendly. Registration is $25 until March 16 and will increase to $30 on race day. Participants will receive a TECH shift.
