The robbery happened Saturday, Feb. 17 at about 7:45 a.m., at the Hardee's restaurant at 100 Jimmy Drive and U.S. Route 13.

Smyrna police investigators are asking for the public’s help in identifying the suspect in a robbery at the Hardee's restaurant at 100 Jimmy Drive and U.S. Route 13.

Saturday, Feb. 17 at about 7:45 a.m. the man entered the restaurant and approached the counter. When an employee opened a cash register during a transaction, the suspect lunged over the counter and took money.

The suspect is described as a light-skinned black male, 35-45 years old, 5-feet-10-inches to 6-feet tall with an average build and thin facial hair. He was last seen wearing tan cargo style pants, a gray striped sweater, and sunglasses and had a surgical mask around his neck.

After removing the money, the suspect fled south on foot.
