Delaware State University’s Black History Month Observance will feature Broadway actors and couple Donald Webber Jr. and Rebecca Covington Webber at 7 p.m. Feb. 26 in the Education and Humanities Theatre on campus, 1200 N. Dupont Highway.

The couple met during a reading of “Motown: The Musical” and started dating during the Broadway production in which they both performed. There were married in 2017.

Rebecca is known for her performance in “Beautiful: The Carole King Musical.” She has also toured nationally and internationally in the shows ”Thoroughly Modern Millie,” “Mamma Mia” and “Ain’t Misbehavin.”

She is the daughter of Donna Covington, the dean of DSU’s College of Business.

Donald has performed in the Broadway musical production of “Hamilton” and has film acting credits. He has also performed in the off-Broadway production of “Holler If You Can Hear Me!” and in the national tour of “Jersey Boys.”
