The newly organized Transformation African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church will host its second ecumenical service at 7 p.m. March 1 in the Martin Luther King Jr. Building, Parlor C, on the Delaware State University campus, 1200 N. Dupont Highway, Dover.

Transformation AME Zion Church is the first AME Zion Church to be organized in Dover.

The church is partnering with the Central Delaware Habitat for Humanity to build a home for a deserving resident who has been challenged with financial hardship.

The ecumenical worship theme is, “Let’s build something together (Hebrews 3:4)!” Transformation AME Zion Church Bishop, the Rev. W. Darin Moore will be the guest preacher. The goal is to raise $2,500 for the purchasing of the building materials that will be used to build a one-story home. The build is scheduled for April 28 on the parking lot of the Bank of America at DSU.
