The Delaware Breast Cancer Coalition Inc. was one of the organizations awarded by the Potter Charity Trust Grants Fund at the CenDel Foundation in 2017, with a $30,000 grant to support the Kent County Breast Cancer Assistance Fund.

Nonprofit organizations supporting Kent County applied for the Potter Charity Trust Grants Fund, a fund of the Delaware Community Foundation. The fund was created to carry out the wishes of Col. Benjamin Potter to support the poor in Kent County as directed in his will. The mission of Potter Charity Trust is to aid the economically underprivileged in Kent County by supporting charitable organizations. To date, this fund has distributed more than $1 million in grants to charitable organizations in Central Delaware since it was opened in 2012. The 2017 grants were awarded to organizations during an event Nov. 2 at the CenDel Foundation in Dover.

The DBCC fund is a partnership with Bayhealth to provide financial assistance and bilingual support to those in need in Kent County while they are undergoing treatment for breast cancer or during their survivorship journey.
