The Delaware Symphony Orchestra will present “Festive Brass,” a holiday concert to benefit the reopening of Dover’s Schwartz Center for the Performing Arts, at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 14 at the Dover High School Theater, 1 Dover High Drive.

The DSO Brass Quintet — DSO members Brian Kuszyk and Steven Skahill, trumpet; Karen Schubert, horn; Richard Linn, trombone; and Brian Brown, tuba — will perform festive music for brass from the 16th to 20th centuries including Bach and Bernstein and, after intermission, selections from “The Nutcracker” and Christmas carols.

Patrol tickets for the benefit are $100, which includes a pre-concert reception to be held at 6 p.m. in Dover and reserved seating for the concert. Tickets for the concert only are $25 adults; $10 students 21 and younger with ID and senior 65 and older; and $20 military.
