The burglary took place Thursday night.

Dover police are looking into a Thursday night burglary that took place in the city.

Department spokesman Master Cpl. Mark Hoffman said the break-in took place at about 8:37 p.m. Nov. 30 at the Tire King store at 502 S. Governors Ave.

Evidence shows a man wearing dark clothing through a large rock through a window. Once inside, he took some cash and ran away.

The burglary took place shortly after the end of the city’s Christmas tree lighting and holiday celebration.

Hoffman added police are working to determine if this incident may be related to several other recent burglaries where two men used a rock to break windows to get into local businesses.

The two most recent occurred Nov. 17 at Mr. B’s Liquors on Independence Boulevard and Nov. 20 at Luigi’s Pizza on South Dupont Highway.
