The man escaped with more than $5,000 in tickets and smokes

Cheswold police are looking for the man who burglarized a local convenience store.

Department Chief of Police Christopher Workman said the incident took place at about 5:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 9 at the Valero Shore Stop at 761 Main Street in the town.

Workman said the man somehow got into the back area of the store where he took more than $5,000 worth of lottery tickets and cigarettes.

When last seen, he was walking toward US Route 13, Workman said.
