Police have arrested Christopher Hurd and Rachael Bellersby
A joint investigation by five law enforcement agencies has resulted in the arrest of a Harrington pair on a number of drug charges.
Delaware State Police spokesman Master Cpl. Melissa Jaffe said the investigation led to the Nov. 9 discovery of drug sales at a home in the first block of Short Street.
A woman, identified as Rachael Bellerby, 24, was taken into custody in the home, while her boyfriend, identified as Christopher Hurd, 32, was found walking down the street and also arrested
A search of the home turned up 16.97 grams of heroin/fentanyl, 5.3 grams of marijuana, and about $400 in suspected drug money.
Hurd and Bellersby are charged with manufacturing, delivering or possessing with intent to deliver a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, endangering the welfare of a child, second-degree conspiracy and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Hurd also is charged with manufacturing, delivering or possession with intent to manufacture or deliver a controlled substance.
He was committed to the Vaughn Correctional Center, Smyrna, on a $114,500 cash bond.
Bellersby was released on a $44,500 unsecured bond.
The Delaware State Police Kent County Drug Unit, the Dover Police Department, Dover Drug Enforcement Agency Post, Delaware State Police Governor’s Task Force and Harrington Police Department took part in the investigation.
