Delaware Choral Society will celebrate its 60th anniversary.

The Delaware Choral Society will celebrate its 60th anniversary year with a presentation of “Messiah” by G. F. Handel at 7 p.m. Dec. 2 at Dover High School auditorium, 1 Dover High Drive.

The performance will feature a professional orchestra and soloists Laura Heimes, Robin Bier, Jarrod Miller and Paul Corujo, under the direction of James Wilson.

In an initial ensemble collaboration, approximately 25 DHS Vocal Arts Academy students will perform with DCS in the Hallelujah Chorus movement and several movements that follow it.

Judy Moore directed/conducted DCS concerts for many years, and will return to guest conduct the Hallelujah Chorus movement of Messiah for this 60th anniversary concert.

Advance tickets are $20 adults, $18 seniors and military, $10 students with ID and are available from any DCS member, at the Modern Maturity Center, 1121 Forrest Ave., Dover, and online at delawarechoralsociety.org.

Tickets at the door are $25 adults, $20 seniors and military, $15 students with ID.
