Chris Bason, executive director for the Center for the Inland Bays, will speak at the membership meeting of the League of Women Voters of Sussex County, set for 6-8 p.m. Nov. 7 at Fish On, 17300 N. Village Main Blvd., Lewes.
Dinner is optional and will precede the presentation, which will begin at 7 p.m. Bason will talk about the importance of waterway buffers and how the League of Women Voters’ Natural Resources Team can actively participate in these issues.
From New Castle Delaware, Bason is a graduate of the University of Delaware and East Carolina University where he earned his master’s degree in biology. Bason has worked to study and protect wetlands and estuaries for 19 years, primarily in Delaware. He has worked for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and the Nature Conservancy and has been employed by the Center for the Inland Bays since 2004.
