Children & Families First received a five-year federal grant of more than $2.9 million from the Administration for Children & Families to launch Delaware Healthy Outcomes with Parent Engagement, or DE HOPE, designed to help substance exposed infants.
Working with local hospitals, Delaware Division of Family Services, the Division of Public Health, the Division of Substance Abuse and Mental Health, the Office of the Investigation Coordinator in the Office of Child Advocate and Casey Family Programs, among others, CFF submitted a proposal to study the impact of an integrated model of evidence-based home visiting and peer recovery coaching on the outcomes for moms and babies impacted by substance use.
DE HOPE also features a randomized control trial evaluation design, which will be overseen by Child Trends. Significant matching funding has been provided by a number of project partners.
