The Dover Police Department, in conjunction with the Dover Elks Lodge No. 1903, will host a bike rodeo from noon to 3 p.m. Oct. 14 at Dover Elks Lodge, 200 Saulsbury Road.

The rodeo will give children an opportunity to learn bike safety and practice road safety skills with their parents. Community policing officers will answer questions about crime trends and public safety issues in the city.

Free food, drinks and giveaways will be available while supplies last. Children will have a chance to win a bike and helmet, participate in a pie eating contest, meet Chase from Paw Patrol and more.

Ages 14 and younger are encouraged to bring a bike and helmet.
