A 31-year-old Milford man, identified as Ricky Ness, has been arrested after what police say he was intoxicated and making threats against another man.
The incident took place at 11:36 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 24 in the 500 block of SE Front St., Milford Police Department spokesman Sgt. Robert Masten said.
Ness allegedly got into an argument with a man inside the home and kicked and punched walls in the home; he also threatened the man when he tried to call 911 and tried to take his phone, Masten said.
Ness eventually left but was found in the area of Columbia and McColley streets. When taken into custody, police he was in possession of fireworks, suspected marijuana and drug paraphernalia.
Ness is charged with malicious interference with emergency communications, possession of fireworks, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. He also was wanted on a bench warrant out of Sussex County Court of Common Pleas.
He was committed to the Sussex Correctional Institution and scheduled for an appearance before a Justice of the Peace magistrate after sobering up, Masten said.
