Dover police believe they have solved four recent burglaries with the arrest of 18-year-old Everlasting Simpson, department spokesman Master Cpl. Mark Hoffman said in a press release.

Simpson was a suspect in the following cases:

- Sept. 22 in the 1000 block of South Little Creek Road; several pieces of electronics were taken.

- Sept. 20 in the 1500 block of North Little Creek Road; the burglar knocked down a 78-year-old woman and stole her purse.

- Sept. 19 in the 100 block of Upland Avenue; cash was taken from a bedroom.

- Sept 16 in the 1000 block of South Little Creek Road; a wallet containing credit and debit cards was taken from an unlocked vehicle. The cards later were used at area businesses.

Simpson is charged with robbery, home invasion, two counts of burglary, three counts of theft of property under $1,500, unlawful use of a payment card, theft by false pretense, criminal mischief and criminal trespass.

He has been jailed at the Vaughn Correctional Center, Smyrna, after failing to pay a $108,950 secured bond.
