CHEER Inc. will host its 50+ Frontier Festival from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sept. 22 at the Warren L. and Charles C. Allen Jr. CHEER Community Center, 20520 Sand Hill Road, Georgetown.

The festival will feature whip cracking and ceremonial Native American dances, music from local entertainers, horse-drawn surrey rides, sheep shearing demonstrations and more. A Western-style barbecue chicken lunch will be served from 11:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and is free for guests age 60 and older and $5 for guests younger than 60.

The public is encouraged to attend, dressed in Western attire if they choose.
