Dover police have confiscated a handgun after arresting a local fugitive.
Earl Marsh, 31, was taken into custody at 2:15 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 13, Dover Police Department spokesman Master Cpl. Mark Hoffman said.
Police stopped Marsh in the area of North Dupont Highway and Lepore Road after spotting him moving between lanes, Hoffman said. When stopped, police learned Marsh was wanted on a bench warrant and also was driving on a suspended license.
Police found the handgun inside Marsh’s Ford Bronco and also discovered he was illegally carrying a number of prescription drugs.
Marsh is charged with two counts each of possession of a firearm/ammunition by a person prohibited and two counts of possession of a controlled substance. He also is charged with possession of drug paraphernalia and a number of traffic offenses.
He was ordered held at the Vaughn Correctional Center, Smyrna, on a $22,000 secured bond.
