Dion and Susan Williams, of Camden-Wyoming, were named honorary chairpersons of this year’s Gourmet Gala, the premier fundraising event for the Delaware Technical Community College Terry Campus, set for Oct. 21 in the on-campus Del-One Conference Center, 100 Campus Drive, Dover.

The gala is a black tie-optional affair that offers guests food and beverages. The evening will feature live entertainment from the Doug Segree Band, a silent auction and the drawing of the winning ticket for a $1,000 raffle.

Money raised through the gala will aid the Terry Campus to offer educational opportunities and activities to its diverse student body, provide scholarships and source the funds needed to purchase equipment for classrooms and learning labs.

Dion is involved with the college’s Business Advisory Board and is a member of

the Terry Campus Development Council. He and Susan, who is Challenge 1 director at

Classical Conversations in Dover, have been regular attendees of the gala since 2011

and routinely support the Chocolate 5K held annually in February.

Tickets are $125 each and can be purchased at go.dtcc.edu/gourmetgala or

by calling 857-1125.
