Detectives with the Dover Police Department are investigating two recent residential burglaries in the city.

The first took place between Aug. 9 and Aug. 19 at a home in the 700 block of Miller Drive, department spokesman Master Cpl. Mark Hoffman said. While the residents were out of town, someone broke in through a rear window and took numerous electronics, coins and miscellaneous items.

The second took place at about 11:05 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 19 at an home in the Blue Hen apartment complex at 100 Plumage Court, Hoffman said. The burglar kicked in a rear door and once inside took an Xbox game controller.
