Better Business Bureau of Delaware announced, through its Education Foundation, a statewide initiative to educate Delawareans about fraud, scams and identity theft protection resources.
Through a grant from M&T Bank, BBB staff is currently scheduled to appear at 10 community centers and senior centers across Delaware.
“We are pleased to be able to offer this important community education service. BBB is contacted daily by Delawareans that have been targeted or are often victims of various scams and fraudulent activities. One of the most effective ways to combat these crimes is through education and awareness,” said BBB President Christine Sauers.
Topics will include the role of the BBB in the community; how BBB helps identify and prevent fraud and identity theft; local and national scams and support resources; and how consumers can protect themselves.
