The Delaware State Fire Marshal’s office is investigating a fire near Rehoboth that heavily damaged a residential trailer. One person was found deceased inside the home.

The blaze, reported shortly after midnight on Thursday, August 10, occurred in the 23000 block of Lawrence Lane in the Angola Crest II community. The Rehoboth Beach Volunteer Fire Company arrived on the scene to find flames coming from the trailer.

State fire investigators are on the scene searching for the fire’s origin and cause. The victim was transported to the Delaware Division of Forensic Science for an autopsy.  

Fire damage was estimated at $30,000.
