The victim was not hurt, police say.

Investigators with the Delaware State Police are looking for a man, possibly Hispanic in origin, suspected of breaking into a Hartly-area home.

Division spokesman Master Cpl. Gary Fournier said the break-in took place at about 11:44 p.m. July 19 in the first block of Kohouts Drive, southeast of Hartly.

The man got into the home through an unlocked window which also happened to be directly over a bed in which the 75-year-old woman was sleeping. The man grabbed the woman’s leg, causing her to wake up, and he fled out the same window.

She was not hurt and nothing was taken, Fournier said.

The woman said the man might have been wearing shorts, but could provide no other physical description. It is not known if he was armed.

Anyone with information on this break-in is asked to call Det. Dear at 302-698-8540.
