A public information meeting will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. July 25 at Cape Henlopen High School, 1250 Kings Highway, Lewes, to discuss repairs the Delaware Department of Transportation will be doing on the Rehoboth and Lewes drawbridges.

Repairs on the bridges will be under one contract. The project is expected to get underway in spring 2018 and last for 12-15 months. Most of the work is for mechanical and electrical upgrades, but there will be occasional detours and lane restrictions required.

During the meeting, traffic and pedestrian plans will be discussed. Traffic restrictions and detours will be confined to off season or late night for short durations.
