The woman has been identified as 58-year-old Pamela Guy
Police have concluded a woman whose remains were found in a Dover yard Monday was run over by a tractor trailer.
Dover Police Department spokesman Master Cpl. Mark Hoffman said the woman’s death is considered an accident.
Hoffman said police and medical personnel were called to the site, near the intersection of College Road and Conwell Street, at about 8 a.m. June 19 to investigate a report of a body in a yard.
Upon arriving, however, they learned the individual, described as an African-American woman in her 50s, already was dead.
Hoffman identified the woman as 58-year-old Pamela Guy.
During the investigation, it was learned Guy was known to drink heavily and often slept
in random spots in the neighborhood, Hoffman said.
Police learned Guy had been drinking heavily Sunday and helping the driver of a tractor trailer wash his vehicle. Later that night she came back to the area and fell asleep in front of the parked tractor-trailer. When the operator, a 52-year-old Dover man, left for work June 12, the tractor-trailer ran over the victim, causing her death.
