Dover police stopped Devron Powell at about 10:45 a.m. Monday, April 17

A man Dover police caught while driving on a suspended license has been arrested on numerous drug charges.

Police made the stop at about 10:45 a.m. Monday, April 17 at the intersection of North State and Division streets, Dover Police Department spokesman Master Cpl. Mark Hoffman said.

Officers with the Dover Police Department Street Crimes Unit and Delaware Probation and Parole stopped Devron Powell, 36, of Dover, and discovered 5,200 bags of heroin, 1.3 grams of marijuana and $1,011 in suspected drug money.

Powell is charged with possession with intent to deliver heroin, possession of heroin, possession of marijuana, two counts of possession of drug paraphernalia and driving while suspended.

Bond information was not available.
