Jackson was wanted in connection with two New Years Day robberies

Members of the Dover Police Department and the U.S. Marshal’s Task Force have apprehended wanted fugitive Rahiem Jackson.

Jackson, 18, of Camden, had been a suspect in a pair of Jan. 1 robberies in Dover.

Dover Police Department spokesman Master Cpl. Mark Hoffman said Jackson was found at a home in the first block of New Street in Cheswold. He ran out the back door of the home in an attempt to escape, but was chased down and arrested.

He was charged with resisting arrest and for having possession of 1.3 grams of marijuana; for the robberies, he is charged with four counts of first-degree robbery, two counts of possession of a firearm by a person prohibited, two counts of possession of a firearm during commission of a felony and resisting arrest.

Jackson is being held at the Vaughn Correctional Center on a $258,875 cash bond.
