The Wesley College athletic department recently announced the hiring of Cyrill Parham as the new sports information director.
Parham comes from Thiel College, where he was an intern in the sports information office for two years before taking over as the full-time assistant director of sports information in June 2014. At Thiel, Parham coordinated all social media and video efforts of the department, while assisting in promoting and marketing Thiel's 25 intercollegiate sports. Parham served as media contact for men's basketball, baseball, men's and women's volleyball, men's and women's tennis and wrestling.
In undergraduate studies at Thiel, Parham ran the campus radio and television stations, while serving as the media board manager.
Parham also has experience working in professional athletics, interning with the Aberdeen Ironbirds as a video production intern in the summer of 2012. While at Aberdeen, Parham produced and directed live broadcasts for MiLB.tv.
A native of Port Deposit, Maryland, Parham received his Bachelor of Arts in media communication in May 2014 and a Master of Science in sport management with a focus in intercollegiate athletic administration from California University of Pennsylvania in December 2016.
