Quarter auction to benefit youth baseball

The Delaware Warriors Travel Baseball Club is partnering with Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity to raise money for youth baseball.

The organizations will host a Quarter Auction at 6 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 4 in the Bank of America Building, room 113, at Delaware State University. Items such as baseball tickets, sports memorabilia, luggage and gift certificates will be on display with a bid price of 25 cents, 50 cents, 75 cents or $1.

To bid, attendees will place the bid price in a basket and hold their paddle in the air and the auctioneer randomly will select the winning paddle number.

Doors will open at 5 p.m. and attendees are encouraged to arrive early to sign in and get a bid paddle.

Tickets are for the event are $5.
