Friends of the late Joseph Marion Petrosky, 84, of Dover, may call on the family for celebration of a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Friday, Aug. 21, at the Church of the Holy Cross, 631 S. State St., Dover.
Mr. Petrosky died peacefully Saturday, Aug. 15, 2009, at home with his family present.
He was a U.S. Army Air Forces and U.S. Air Force veteran, serving from 1943 to 1973, and retiring with the rank of master sergeant. He then worked as an account executive at the News Journal newspaper for 20 years.
He was preceded in death by his four sisters, Jane, Sabina, Val and Milly; and his brother Marion Joseph Petrosky.
Mr. Petrosky is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Phyllis Petrosky; two sons and their wives, Joseph and Wendy Petrosky of Dover and Richard and Dana Petrosky of New York; his adored grandchildren, Christine, Alexis, Joanna and Alex; his sister-in-law, Tina Kramedas of Wyoming; and numerous nieces and nephews in Delaware and Pennsylvania.
Interment will be in the Holy Cross Cemetery, Dover.
