    Friends of the late Harry R. Jones, 64 of Dover, may call on the family at 3 p.m. Friday, Sept. 11, at the Torbert Funeral Chapel South, 1145 E. Lebanon Road, Dover, where a memorial service will be held at 4 p.m.

    Mr. Jones died Wednesday, Sept. 2, 2009, at home.

    Born Aug. 19, 1945, in Wilkes-Barre Pa., he was the son of the late Kentley R. Jones and Ruth S. Semmens Jones.

    Mr. Jones served in the U.S. Army from 1964 to 1967, and then re-enlisted in the U.S. Air Force in 1971. He retired in 1993 as a chief master sergeant.

    Afterward, he worked for Culligan Water as a salesman from 1994 until 2005. A natural storyteller, he loved talking to people, and anyone who met him was treated to tales of his children and grandchildren, his love of cars and the pride he felt in serving his country.

    Mr. Jones is survived by his wife of 41 years, Patricia Baily Jones of Dover; his son and daughter-in-law, Neil C. and Alissa Jones of Baltimore; his daughter and son-in-law, Heather L. and Dale Mann of Dover; a brother and sister-in-law, William Kentley and Nelda Jones of Sarasota, Fla.; a sister and brother-in-law, Sandra and Jack Pritchard of Nokomis, Fla.; and two grandchildren, Carter and Baily Mann.

    Interment will be in the Wyoming Cemetery, Wyoming, Pa.
