Camden Friends to show free film series

The Camden Friends meeting is hosting a six-film series at its gathering place, 122 E. Camden-Wyoming Ave., Camden.

The films are shown the last Tuesday of each month. These films are made available by Pacem in Terris, an interfaith peach group in Wilmington. Participants are asked to arrive by 6:30 p.m.

  • Aug. 31: “Capitalism: A Love Story,” a documentary by Michael Moore.
  • Sept. 28: “Afghan Star,” a 2009 documentary by Havana Marketing.
  • Oct. 26: “The Hurt Locker,” a 2009 documentary by Oscar-winner Kathryn Bigelow.
  • Nov. 30: “The People Speak,” a 2009 documentary by Howard Zinn.
  • Dec. 28: “Food, Inc.,” a 2008 documentary by Robert Kenner.
  • Jan. 30, 2011: “Constantine’s Sword,” a 2008 documentary by Oren Jacoby.
