High school bands from Delaware competing include Appoquinimink, Cab Calloway, Caesar Rodney, Caravel, Delaware Military Academy, Lake Forest, Laurel, Middletown and William Penn

The top high school marching bands in Delaware and the Eastern Shore of Maryland will be competing at the Tournament of Bands Region 9 Championships Saturday, Oct. 20 at Appoquinimink High School, 1080 Bunker Hill Road, Middletown.

The competition starts at 1 p.m. with the “A Class” and then continues at 6 p.m. with the “Open Class” which features both Appoquinimink and Middletown high schools. Awards for the “A Class” will be presented after the final “A Class” band performs. Awards for the “Open Class” will be presented after the final “Open Class” band performs.

Admission is $12 for adults and $10 students and senior citizens.
