Body shaping begins Sept. 13 at Lake Forest South
The Kent County Levy Court Parks and Recreation Department is offering Body Shaping from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Mondays and Wednesdays for seven weeks beginning Sept. 13 at Lake Forest South Elementary, Harrington.
The fee is $37.

Learn-N-Play class designed for ages 3 to 5
The city of Dover Parks and Recreation Department will offer Learn-N-Play Basketball Skills for ages 3 to 5 from 6 to 6:45 p.m. Mondays, Sept. 14 to Oct. 4, at the Pitts Center, Dover.
The class introduces the basic fundamentals of basketball, including passing, dribbling, control and more. Age appropriate equipment will be used.
The activity fee is $18.

Baker, Abernathy win nine-hole tourney
The Wild Quail 9-Hole Ladies played an S&T Tournament Aug. 31 at Wild Quail Golf and Country Club, Wyoming.
The winners were: Dottie Baker, 16, first, and Pat Sweeney, 18, second in Flight A; and Stacey Abernathy, 15, first, and Jan Zelenke, 18, second in Flight B.

The Wild Quail 18-Hole Ladies played an S&T Tournament Aug. 31 at Wild Quail Golf and Country Club, Wyoming.
The winners in the first flight were: Ann Lanovara and Lou Ann Carlson, tied for first with 30.5; Sue Cox, 32, second; and Karen Kitchen, 37.5, third.
The winners in the second flight were: Colleen Stone, 21, first; and Kathy Mercer, 39, second.
Jane Heinig was the closest-to-the-pin winner on hole No. 13.
Blodgett wins Blind Callaway game in MMC league
The Modern Maturity Center Golf League played a Blind Callaway game Aug. 30 at Garrison’s Lake Golf Course, Smyrna.
The winners were: Al Blodgett, 33, first; Pat Firment and John Bochnowski, tied for second with 34; and Irene Simpson, Ed Swanger, Thami Mlambio and Peter Endicott, tied for third with 35.
Tee-to-Green tourney won by Hutton
The Maple Dale 9-Holers played a Tee-to-Green Tournament Sept. 2 at Maple Dale Country Club, Dover.
The winners were: Marie Hutton, first; Jean Hitchens, second; and Loretta Harpster, third.
