    News to know
Sgt. Bowe Bergdahl is to fly back to the U.S. overnight, a Pentagon official said today. Bergdahl has been receiving medical treatment at a military hospital in Germany since he was released by the Taliban. Bergdahl’s release has angered more than a few politicians, and his return is likely to stir up more debate.
    Quote of note
“Whether or not you feel compelled to follow a particular lifestyle or not, you have the ability to decide not to do that. I may have the genetic coding that I’m inclined to be an alcoholic, but I have the desire not to do that, and I look at the homosexual issue that way.” - Texas Gov. Rick Perry, equating homosexuality with alcoholism. The governor - who may run again for president - caused a minor furor with his statements.
