U.S. Rep. John Carney, D-Delaware, announced the panel of judges for his Congressional App Challenge.

Carney’s challenge is designed to provide students a chance to learn programming concepts, entrepreneurial lessons and skills based on science, technology, engineering and mathematics.

The panel members are: Dennis DeBevec, director of technology, Cyberwolf Software, Inc.; Mike Derins, CEO, the Archer Group; Dan Freeman, director, Horn Program in Entrepreneurship at the University of Delaware; Todd Miller, chief experience officer, the Archer Group; Mona Parikh, adjunct professor, Horn Program in Entrepreneurship at UD; Sandeep Patel, associate professor, department of chemistry and biochemistry at UD; and Rick Sommer, president, Intellitec Solutions.

Competitors must submit their app’s code by 3 p.m. Jan. 21 with a video explaining the app and what they learned through this competition. To submit an entry, visit 1.usa.gov/1NdNfYH.
