Wesley College's men's soccer team, led by head coach Steve Clark who is entering his 25th season at the helm, has been picked to finish sixth in the Capital Athletic Conference Preseason Poll, it was announced by the league office on Tuesday morning as voted on by the head coaches.

York earned five place votes to receive top honors, followed by Christopher Newport, Salisbury, Mary Washington and Frostburg State. Following Wesley is St. Mary's, Marymount, Penn State Harrisburg and Southern Virginia.

The Wolverines are coming off a season where they exceeded expectations by qualifying for the CAC Playoffs despite having the youngest roster in the conference. Now that the Wesley youngsters have a season under their belts, the Wolverines are looking to take the next step and advance deep into the Playoffs.

Sophomore Will Mileski returns after earning CAC Co-Rookie of the Year honors in 2013, as does All-CAC performers Oluwatobi Sowande at midfield and senior Sheldon Blue on defense. Blue anchors a defense that returns every starter with the exception of goalkeeper Mark Mattern, who will stay on as an assistant coach.

Sophomore Eman Amao is also back and helps form one of the fastest duos around with Mileski at the forward spots. Seniors Shane Casey, Shaune Gorman, Danny Ramirez and Holden Wingate provide the Navy & White with years of experience on different sides of the ball as well.

Wesley opens the season at the Cabrini Labor Day Kick-Off on August 29-30 where it will take on Shenandoah in the opener and either the host Cavaliers or Penn State Brandywine the following afternoon.
