  • A Dover man, identified as Tony McClain, 32, has been arrested after he was found to be carrying 133 bags of heroin.
The case began at 12:06 p.m. Aug. 18, as a Dover Police Safe Streets officer stopped McClain for a moving violation in the area of North State Street and Lepore Road, said department spokesman Cpl. Mark Hoffman.
When contacted, McClain at first gave out his brother’s name and personal information, which the officers soon found was false. McClain first was arrested on a charge of criminal impersonation, and a search of his person turned up a large plastic bag containing heroin from his pants. An additional three bags of heroin were found on the driver’s side of McClain’s Jeep Cherokee, Hoffman said.
In all, 133 bags of the drug, weighing 1.995 grams, were seized.
McClain also was charged with possession of a controlled substance with an aggravating factor being the large quantity seized, possession with intent to deliver heroin, possession of drug paraphernalia and miscellaneous traffic charges.
He later was released on a $22,000 unsecured bond.
