  • Dover shooting suspect identified as Aaron Brown

  • A man shot in the leg over the weekend is refusing to cooperate with police, but Dover Police have identified the assailant and are looking to arrest him.
    Aaron Brown 34, is wanted in the incident, which occurred at 4:57 p.m. Aug. 17, said police spokesman Cpl. Mark Hoffman.
    Police responded to the call of a shooting in the 100 block of South New Street to find the victim, who was not named, in the area of South New and Reed streets suffering from a gunshot wound to the leg.
    Brown was identified as the assailant during interviews with several witnesses as well as a review of video surveillance images.
    When caught, Brown is expected to face charges of second-degree assault, carrying a concealed deadly weapon, possession of a deadly weapon by a person prohibited, and possession of a firearm by a person prohibited.
