The Central Delaware Blues Society will host its inaugural musical festival, the Roadhouse Blues Fest, at Jonathan's Landing Golf Course in Magnolia from 1 to 8 p.m. on Aug. 31.
The Central Delaware Blues Society will host its inaugural musical festival, the Roadhouse Blues Fest, at Jonathan’s Landing Golf Course in Magnolia from 1 to 8 p.m. on Aug. 31.
Local and national blues acts will take the stage, including performances by Johnny and Zep (1 p.m.), lower case blues (2:30 p.m.), Eric Steckel (4:30 p.m.) and Chris Duarte (6 p.m.). In addition, food and drink vendors will be on site.
Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets, hats and sunscreen. No pets are allowed. Glass containers, alcohol and outside food also are not allowed
Tickets are $15 for the public and $10 for CDBS members. Admission is free for children younger than 12. Admission also will be free for anyone who pays the CDBS’s $25 annual membership fee on the day of the festival.
The Roadhouse Blues Fest is a rain-or-shine event. The music will be moved into the clubhouse if it rains, although seating then may be limited and will be provided on a first-come, first-serve basis. The facility is friendly to those who have disabilities and there are ramps that provide access to restrooms.
