Frankenreiter to delight in Dewey

WHAT Donavon Frankenreiter in concert with Makua Rothman

WHEN 9 p.m., Sunday

WHERE Bottle & Cork, 1807 Highway One, Coastal Highway, Dewey Beach

COST $25

INFO Visit or call 227-7272

Singer-songwriter and surfer Donavon Frankenreiter will hang 10 at the Bottle & Cork in Dewey Beach on Sunday.

Makua Rothman, another singer-songwriter and surfer, will be the show’s opener.

The Hawaii-based Frankenreiter dropped his fifth full-length album, “Start Livin,’” in 2012. The album, which is a follow-up to “Glow” (2010), is a nine-track selection of folk-infused songs that sweetly reflect the simplicity of their recording. With a smooth showcasing of Frankenreiter’s sugary vocals and exceptional guitar work, “Start Livin’” bears all the intimacy of an impromptu back-porch performance and the tenderness inside this audio love letter.
