A Camden man, identified by police as Manuel L. Martinez, 53, of the 12000 block of Willow Grove Road, has been charged with his third DUI offense.

The incident took place at 6:42 p.m. Aug. 10, when a Clayton Police officer spotted a vehicle failing to halt at a stop sign. The officer pulled the vehicle over and noticed a strong odor of alcohol coming from the driver as he spoke. The driver of the vehicle also was unable to provide a driver’s license to the officer when requested.

Martinez was charged with third offense driving under the influence of alcohol, driving while suspended/revoked, failure to stop at a stop sign, and failure to have insurance and identification in his possession.

Martinez also was wanted on an outstanding capias from Kent County Court of Common Pleas. He was ordered jailed at the James T. Vaughn Correctional Center, Smyrna, after failing to secure a $3,500 secured bond.
