  • A woman who allegedly used her grandmother’s credit and ATM cards without permission has refused to surrender to Dover Police.
Jennifer Bell, 42, is wanted in the case, which also involved her boyfriend, identified as Bradley Zahner. He already has turned himself in and has been prosecuted, said Dover Police Department spokesman Cpl. Mark Hoffman.
Bell allegedly used the credit card between May 7 and June 10 to withdraw $1,800 in cash from area ATMs, while she and Zahner reportedly used the grandmother’s credit card at Lowe’s Home Improvement Warehouse to make a number of unauthorized purchases.
Zahner had been given the card to buy items for a landscaping project Bell’s grandmother had asked him to do, Hoffman said.
Despite a number of attempts to get Bell to turn herself in to police, she has refused to do so.
She is reportedly somewhere in the Marydel area, Hoffman said.
Pending charges include theft of property valued at more than $1,500 where the victim is more than 62 years of age, two counts of unlawful use of a credit card where the victim is more than 62 years of age, second-degree conspiracy and theft by false pretense of property valued at less than $1,500.
Anyone with information on this crime is asked to call Dover Police at 736-7111.
