Permits are being worked and plans are being drawn up as Jim and Kathy Gray of Dover move forward with plans to reopen the Kirby and Holloway restaurant later this year.
“Everyone’s been asking that question,” Jim Gray said Aug. 1. “It’s a question of pulling it all together. We’re working hard on that.”
The landmark eatery, which has stood on U.S. Route 13 since 1948, was severely damaged in a Feb. 2 fire. Since then the Grays have been working with the city of Dover, their insurance company, contractors and architects to bring the restaurant back to life.
