  • An 18-year-old Milton man is facing burglary and theft charges after allegedly stealing bicycles in Harrington.
Jeramiah Tolley was arrested on July 30 following several burglary and theft complaints beginning on July 27, said Harrington Police Department spokesman Lt. Earl Brode.
Three days before Tolley’s arrest, patrol officers responded to the area of East Center Street and Harrington Avenue for a report of a suspicious vehicle. Upon arrival, officers contacted Tolly, who was with the vehicle. Tolley stated that he observed unknown people placing bicycles in a nearby alley. The officer then found the bicycles in the alley, Brode said.
Brode said a police investigation revealed that the bicycles were stolen from several residences on Delaware Avenue and Tolley was identified as a suspect.
Officers obtained a warrant for Tolley’s arrest, and Tolley turned himself in to the Harrington Police Department on July 30.
Tolley is charged with two counts of third-degree burglary, two counts of second-degree conspiracy, two counts of theft under $1,500 and one count of criminal mischief under $1,000.
He was arraigned and released on a $12,100 unsecured bond. Police are continuing their investigation in an attempt to identify other suspects involved.
