A 32-year-old Felton man is facing multiple drug charges after a traffic stop in Harrington unveiled drugs inside his vehicle.
Larry D. Smith was stopped by a patrol officer on South Dupont Highway on July 19 after the vehicle’s registration was flagged due to an active warrant, said Harrington Police Department spokesman Lt. Earl Brode.
Brode said Smith was arrested without incident and a search of his vehicle uncovered 9.6 grams of marijuana, four Alazopram pills and drug paraphernalia.
Smith is charged with possession or consumption of a controlled substance, possession of marijuana with an aggravating factor, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving with a suspended or revoked license and other traffic charges, Brode said.
A computer check revealed that Smith was wanted on an active warrant from the Camden Police Department for traffic charges as a result of a hit and run accident in June 2014.
Smith was arraigned and released on a $1,200 unsecured bond.
