A Felton man, identified as Larry D. Smith, 32, of the first block of Pin Oak Court, was arrested July 19 on drug charges.

A Harrington Police officer made the arrest after stopping Smith’s car on South Dupont Highway after checking the car’s license plate and noting Smith had an active arrest warrant, said department spokesman Lt. Earl K. Brode. Smith also was wanted by Camden Police for a June 2014 traffic incident.

While searching Smith’s car, the officer found 9.6 grams of marijuana, four Alazopram pills and drug paraphernalia, Brode said.

Smith was charged with possess or consuming a controlled substance, possession of marijuana with an aggravating factor, possession of drug paraphernalia, driving with a suspended or revoked license and other traffic charges.

He was processed at Justice of the Peace Court 7, Dover, and released on a $1,200 unsecured bond.
