  • The American Red Cross Delmarva Region is assisting a family of four from Harrington after their home was damaged by a fire on Monday.
The Harrington Fire Company responded to a residence in the 100 block of West Milby Street at about 11 a.m., where Assistant Chief Kenny Brode detected smoke coming from a single-story residence.
The Farmington Fire Company, Houston Fire Company and Kent County Paramedics also responded to the scene, according to Brode.
The blaze was controlled within 20 minutes, Brode said, and no injuries were reported.
Brode said the home sustained moderate damage from the fire and the Delaware State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating the incident.
